This Monday night (July 5) on Live from the Fallout Shelter, Boston band Ape Up! will be playing a set. They are a 3 piece post-hardcore band and remind me of bands such as Hot Water Music, Bridge and Tunnel and perhaps even a little bit of Cap'n Jazz mixed in there. They have been tearing up the local basement scene as of recent and will actualy be playing The Ant Cellar tomorrow night! (that would Saturday July 3)

So tune in this Monday night from 8 to 11pm. The band will be on at 930pm.

You can check them out at http://www.myspace.com/apeup

So Ape Up had to cancel their Ant Cellar appearance last night because their drummer did something to his hand. So they haven't told me yet if they can or can't play Fallout tomorrow. In case they can't, does anyone know of a band that may like to play?

Karen if you say gin drunk I will not be happy.

So Ape Up's drummer broke his finger which means that they can not play tonight.

So to replace them, we have the one and the only Districts. This band is a new band out of Lowell MA and features Josh Wilson of Ghost Grenade, Pete Mendola of Matahari, Jacob Letizia, Craig Robertson and WUML's very own Folk director Greg Ragnio.

So come hangout and watch these guys. It is sure to be great!
